Since inception, The Baraboo Social Club would have to be more than just a traditional barbershop.

The need for a common ground where gentleman could relax, and catch their breath was just as important as a proper haircut…

Every aspect of the barbershop was designed with one goal in mind. Authenticity

On 5th avenue, You’ll find the building looks like a scene out of American Graffiti. Extreme effort was made during the shop build, not to jeopardize the original 1957 nostalgia of the property.

The original sign which was installed in the late 50’s, has been updated to reflect the Baraboo Social Club’s needs, while keeping the integrity intact.

The same amount of detail and thought went into the design of the shop itself.

Six months scouring the midwest led to a treasure trove of 1959 Koken barbershop equipment, stored in a Detroit basement since the Detroit Riots. The entire collection has been given a new home, and has been put back to work.

Enjoy a haircut in our rare Koken Presidential chairs, or simply stop in to decompress and soak up the atmosphere.
